An official decision to change the legal driving age has not been made. The current legal driving age is 16+ years old. If and when the legal driving age does change we will post it here.

The most common thought to this question is that the DMV has set up a cutoff birth year. For example, anyone born after a specific year will be required to wait until they are 18 years old to get a drivers license. This hasn't happened and it's untrue.
